AppMyself was created during a Wharton Innovation workshop held in San Francisco in early 2010.  We think that it should be easy to create iPhone and Android apps without knowing deep technical programming skills.  Today, even if you know how to program in Objective-C, you still have to have access to a Macintosh and understand the Cocoa Touch framework to create an iPhone app.  Also, you need a relationship with Apple to submit your app to the Apple App Store.
